The green filter developed in the CONVIVE LIFE project for purification with the use of waste water plants is already in operation in the Tina Menor estuary.

Based on the previous studies of the project itself, a pilot green filter has been designed and installed based on the phytodepurative capacity of Juncus maritimus in the channels of the Sonrionansa S.L. fish farm, located in the estuary of Tina Menor.

The final objective of this action is to develop a system to minimise the potential human impacts on estuarine ecosystems, reducing the pollution load of waste water discharges, and to contribute to improving the conservation status of habitats of Community interest by using phytoremediation systems based on species characteristic of the natural environment.
